Salicylate Sensitivity

Do you react to a broad range of fruits and vegetables, then you may have a sensitivity to natural salicylates! Do you now that salicylates are naturally high in many foods including berry fruits, dried fruits, avocado, citrus fruits, nuts, honey, jams, yeast extracts, some oils, some snack foods as well as a range of vegetables. Are you aware that this can result in Urticaria or Hives or Asthma. If you have skin problems or Asthma and find certain foods make your condition worse then this may be an indication of a salicylate sensitivity. You may also be allergic to Aspirin and certain medications.

This practical information is made available by the Allergy Centre.  An Allergist can tell you if you have true Salicylate sensitivity, what it is, why you have it, how you can be tested for it, what you can do about it, the best treatment, whether you should be desensitised or vaccinated, the best medication to use, the best place to seek treatment and whether you can get a cure for Salicylate sensitivity.
